Pre-Wax

Hair Length

To achieve the smoothest results, hair should be a ‘bear’ minimum of 1/4” long (about a bottom eyelash in length).

Skin Preparation

Mildly exfoliate your skin 24-48 hours before your waxing service to help your hairs exit the follicles easily.

Keep us informed

If its your first-time waxing, if you’re pregnant, or if you’ve had any adverse reactions previously to waxing, please keep us informed.

Medications

We are unable to provide waxing services if you are using Accutane or have been on this medication in the past year.

Retin-A/Retinoic Acid products cause thinning of the skin; therefore, wax can not be applied to these specific areas.

Cleanliness

Curious about cleanliness before your appointment? Been at work all day or just arrived from an exercise class? No worries! Everyone likes to feel fresh so to help you feel clean and pampered, we supply freshening wipes for your individual comfort, and you are welcome to use our restroom prior to service.

Special Occasions

If you’ve never been waxed, or its ‘been a while’, please try to schedule two waxing appointments before your special occasions. If this isn’t possible, we recommend scheduling your appointment 3-4 days prior to the big event. This will allow your skin plenty of time to recover from any possible reactions or tenderness.

Pain Reduction

Rumor has it that taking a Tylenol or Advil an hour before your service will help ease any discomfort. You may also wish to pick up one of our amazing numbing sprays to use 30 minutes before your service.

* Please check with a medical professional before consuming any pain medication.

Avoiding stimulants such as caffeine and alcohol immediately before your service will also help to alleviate sensitivity in your skin.

Nervous? Take a couple of deep breaths and remember that like most things in life, the anticipation is worse than the experience.
